[edit] History

Lucifugum is one of the bands who have formed Ukrainian black metal scene. Its big influence on this style is impossible to overestimate. Lucifugum was formed in 1995 in Zhytomyr by ideological leader Khlyst and musicians Bal-a-Myth (guitar, bass) and Faunus (vocals). Faunus has left the band in 2001, and Bal-a-Myth died during his sleep on October 5, 2002. Albums “Back to chopped down roots” and “Sociopath: philosophy cynicism” were recorded by session musicians. In 2004 Khlyst has moved to another Ukrainian town Mykolayiv (Nikolaev) in order to continue the activity together with local black metal activist Elena (Stabaath). “Vector33” is the first album with Stabaath (then she recorded vocals, guitars, bass and keyboards). Khlyst and Stabaath are married. Igor and Elena Naumchuk are also the owners of black metal label Propaganda.
