Luciano Medevici

Luciano Medevici was an Italian painter.
He born in Florence to wealthy parents in the last years of the fourteenth century. As a young man, Medevici was fascinated with mechanics and natural philosophy. He left Florence in 1393 for Rome, where he worked under the patronage of Pope Boniface IX. He was killed in 1402 in a robbery attempt at his home. His last publicly viewable work, a monochromatic fresco, was destroyed in a fire in 1944.
