Lucia Ronchetti

Lucia Ronchetti (Rome, 1963) is an italian composer.
After studying piano with Mario Bevilacqua, she attended the Conservatorio of S.Cecilia in Rome, where she obtained the diploma in Composition and Electronic Music in 1987. In the same year she completed her studies at the University of Rome with a thesis concerning the application of analytic methodologies to the orchestral works of Bruno Maderna.
In 1994/97 she has studied in Paris with Gerard Grisey. In 1996/97 was selected for the annual computer music event at IRCAM. In 1999 she has discussed her Doctorate Thesis in Musicology at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes in Paris concerning the analysis of Wagner's influence on the late XIX century French orchestral writing.
