Lucia Newman (born February 18) is a British journalist. She worked for CNN for 20 years; she now works for Al Jazeera.

Newman was born in England of Spanish and British blood. Later she lived in Argentina, the United States, Chile, Australia, Peru, and Panama.

She was married to Demetrio Olaciregui and has two daughters Pia, 17, and Laura,13. They lived in Cuba for 9 years, 1997-2006. Lucia got divorced in 1998. She remarried Cuban Rodolfo Barea. Lucia, Rodolfo, Laura and Pia all moved to Argentina on March 28, 2006.

Lucia currently works for Al Jazeera International.
