Lucette Aldous

Lucette Aldous (born 1938) is an Australian ballet dancer and ballet teacher.

Born in New Zealand, she undertook her early training in Australia, and later at the Royal Ballet School. She returned to Australia in 1970, quickly rising to Resident Principal Dancer with the Australian Ballet.

She is particularly noted for her partnerships with Rudolf Nureyev, first in the Nutcracker while with the Royal Ballet, and subsequently in the role of Kitri in Don Quixote for the Australian Ballet.

She married fellow artist Alan Alder in 1972. Currently she teaches in Perth, Australia at The Graduate College of Dance.
