Lucens is a municipality in the district Moudon in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland.

In 1969, the Lucens reactor, an underground nuclear reactor was set in operation in Lucens, and was immediately affected by a serious accident, resulting in massive radioactive contamination of the underground site, which was then sealed.
