Lucas Oil Products is a company that sells automotive oil and additives. It was founded by trucker Forrest Lucas in 1989.
The company is the sponsor of several NASCAR, NHRA and Indy Racing League events.[1]
In 2005 Lucas Oil founded the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series late model stock car series.
It was announced on February 28, 2006 that Lucas Oil purchased the naming rights to a future NFL stadium, to be called "Lucas Oil Stadium" in Indianapolis, Indiana for $120 million over 20 years.[2]
Lucas Oil is not related to LUKOIL, a Russian-owned petroleum company that owns and operates gasoline stations throughout the Northeast USA.
