[edit] Lučko Airport
The Lučko Airport (ICAO: LDZL) is one of the oldest buildings in Lučko and the main reason for establishment of Lučko as a neighborhood. After the Second World War, Lučko airport became the main airport of Zagreb until the Zagreb Airport (IATA: ZAG, ICAO: LDZA) was built in 1959. The previous primary airport is now home to sports planes and the Croatian special police elite Anti Terrorist Unit ATJ Lučko, as well as the military helicopter airbase.
[edit] Highway A1
Croatian highway A1 passes south of Lučko. Therefore, the interchange where A1 begins is named after Lučko. The mainline toll plaza Lučko has 15 lanes. It is the most heavily used toll plaza in Croatia. During the tourist season large backups are created on the toll plaza.
