Leeds Student Radio (now broadcasting as LSRfm.com) is a student radio station covering the campuses of the University of Leeds, Leeds Metropolitan University and Leeds College of Music, UK, broadcasting 24 hours a day during term time on the station's website. The station also broadcasts for 4 weeks 106.6FM in and around the city of Leeds.

Like most student radio stations, it is run entirely by volunteers, mainly from the students studying at the universities; and is a member of the Student Radio Association.

[edit] The Station Manager

As a result of the SAR (Student Activity Review) carried out by LUU, the Station Manager of LSRfm.com is now an appointed post, with candidates facing an interview panel.

This year's panel consisted of:

  • Mike Cass - Galaxy FM - Industry Expert
  • Tom Salmon - LUU Events - Independent Person
  • Greg Hughes - LSRfm.com Committee Selected Member

The application process consists of a presentation from the candidates, followed by Q&A session, which all members of LSRfm.com are welcome to attend. This is followed by an interview with the panel.

Following the presentations, and interview process, it was announced that Richard Andrews had been appointed as the station's new Station Manager.
