[edit] Alexa ranking
It should be noted that Splash discovered that LSOL.com has a higher Alexa rank than the top two google hits for "garden trains", which does not mean that its worthy of listing on its own, but which I felt seems to hint in that direction. It's difficult, of course, since the vast majority (if not all) of the people trying to decide what to do about this page are not in touch with the garden trains community.
It was discussed that this is a commercial (as in subscription-based) site during the VfD, but that puts it in the company of many other WP-listed sites.
The basis for keeping the article that was discussed mostly centered around the fact that it is the oldest (1995) such site on the Internet.
I hope this helps in any future discussion of the (lack of) value of this article. -Harmil 6 July 2005 19:07 (UTC)
- That is a dubious way to represent what I said. I merely said that it had an Alexa ranking of about 2,200,000 and I concluded it was non-notable. I did not demonstrate the fact that it is purported above that I did; that is merely an inference drawn by Harmil from his own research into the matter (that does not make it wrong, but I think the above comment is seriously misleading). -Splash 6 July 2005 22:29 (UTC)

- My appologies, let me re-word:

- It should be noted that Splash discovered that LSOL.com has an Alexa rank of about 2,200,000. When compared to the rankings of the various other popular-on-Google "garden trains" sites, this places it as the most popular garden train Web site.

- Sorry if I put words in your mouth by being vague about where your contribution (see, contribution! :) ended and mine began. Thanks for pointing this out, and have a great day. -Harmil 6 July 2005 22:45 (UTC)
