[edit] Two points

1. Please check for and revert any vandalism in an article before making other editorial improvements. Otherwise, you may make it more difficult to detect and fix the vandalism. Thank you.

2. See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Mathematics#Symbol for differential please. JRSpriggs 10:24, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Notation Changes

You've been making a whole swath of changes to the physics articles on wikipedia. Most noticably, you've changed the vector notation on a huge number of pages from bold style (\mathbf{B}) to arrow style (\vec{B}). If you haven't done so already, please start some kind of discussion page on this, because a change of this magnitude is bound to cause issues with a lot of people.

Mathematical notation is unfortunately not homogeneous. What is standard notation to some may be non standard to others. Some people, and even some countries, use the bold notation rather than the arrow notation for vectors and vice versa. Please be aware that one perspective on which notation is right may be wrong from another, and as such, making notation on Wikipedia homogeneous is perhaps not the wisest of decisions. I agree with the above that mass conversions of style are a bad idea. Please stop doing that. And it would be good if you use an edit summary when you contribute. Thanks. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 20:39, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
I am stop of doing changes in the Wikipedia, as the arrow notation of vectors as the "d" roman style of differential symbol. I am sorry of the changing the articles without talk about this in the TalkPages. Forvige-me my english, I don't speak english very well. Lseixas 01:17, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Lseixas.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Lseixas.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:09, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Raymond Davis Jr.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Raymond Davis Jr.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
