[edit] National Minority Law Student Recruitment Month

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article National Minority Law Student Recruitment Month, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of National Minority Law Student Recruitment Month. Request reason: "National Minority Law Student Recruitment Month is an annually-occurring two-month long educational program that is organized and sponsored by the Law School Admission Council, a nonprofit organization. Through LSAC’s sponsorship, many organizations join in and coordinate their efforts to provide educational programs for high school and early college students from traditionally underrepresented groups, especially minority students. These programs provide information about going to law school, including course, application, and financial requirements, as well as where and how to obtain financial aid and scholarships."

Decline reason: "You have provided no reason to believe your block, as a spam/advertising-only account, is invalid. — Yamla (talk) 18:44, 8 April 2008 (UTC)"

Request reason: "My reason for wanting to be unblocked was that NMLSRM is an educational program and I believe it should have a listing, but at this point I give up. I don't believe that I should be blocked simply because you won't post my new entry for NMLSRM. Now my reason for wanting to be unblocked is different: I still need to be able to update http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_School_Admission_Council. It's part of my job here."

Decline reason: "No. This would be inappropriate. Please see WP:COI and WP:BFAQ. — Yamla (talk) 20:08, 8 April 2008 (UTC)"

Request reason: "Wikipedia has designated LSAC Editor as a “spam/advertising only” account. I respectfully disagree with this classification because my previous activity was limited to factual edits to the Law School Admission Council page and did not contain any spam or advertising. I understand your concern in declining to publish the National Minority Law School Recruitment Month page and appreciate your efforts to remove content that might be perceived as promotional. I have learned from this experience and request reinstatement of LSAC editor account access rights so that I can continue to support the factual accuracy of the Law School Admission Council entry at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_School_Admission_Council. Thank you."
