[edit] Tourism in Madhya Pradesh
I noticed that recently you added a section to Tourism in India called Tourism in Madhya Pradesh. I thought that there was enough information there for an entire article, so I used your input for that section to creat another article by the name of Tourism in Madhya Pradesh. I did have to reformat the article a bit to make it a little easier to read, I also did some research and used some of the best images that I could find to add to the article. After I created the new article using your information I reduced what was in the section for Madhya Pradesh in the Tourism in India article. I have acually made three new articles using the infomation from that one article. Also Tourism in Maharashtra, and Tourism in Andhra Pradesh. Check it out. جميع أفراد المجتمع المؤهلين مدعوون للتصويت في انتخابات مجلس أمناء مؤسسة ويكيميديا.
- Hi Mindys12345 ! Thanks for creating separate page for Tourism in Madhya Pradesh. It is nice. We are planning to expand it. --burdak 04:50, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

- I had a look at Tribals in Madhya Pradesh, the format for that article seems to be fine. The other article might need a bit. I'll try to think of something, I have an Idea but that might make the article to long. I'll get back to you later with some ideas if poss. [edit] Re : Jat Page
Please stop removing the tags of the Jat page without discussion. This makes us Jatts look like we cannot discuss issues in a rational manner. Also these tags have now been removed several times so I will be left with no option but to report this matter if this continues and the page may be locked. Thanks --Sikh-history 11:34, 20 July 2007 (UTC) DS Dhaliwal.
- There is already a dispute tag on the header seems not necessary to put more dispute tags on each section. There is limit of period for such tags and if dispute is not resolved these can be removed. There seems not much of contribution to this page from your side. By the way whom do you expect to resolve these tags and within what period? burdak 16:38, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- Have you read the yahoo groups link?
- It is made very clear in that link chandragupta is not gutta and hence not jatta/jat/jutta. Calling Chandragupta a jat is just a figment of imagination of some and nothing else. Please stop vandalising this page with your bias.

- We need some impartial anthropological evidence. We need to seperate what is religious history (in my case Sikh but also Hindu), and what is Jatt history. We need ISBN numbers for ALL refrences. [edit] Do not delete content from Jat people
You have been warned but still deleting content from Jat people and vandalizing it, which is your only contribution to Wikipedia. If you have something discuss. You are again and again writing only one line that Chandragupta is not Jat. It is not sufficient to prove any thing. So please come forward with any substantial proof. Don't delete content from Jat people without discussion !!! --burdak 15:19, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

- It is a figment of imagination to associate Chandragupts Maurya with Jats. He belonged to the Mauria/Muria clan, and that is why Peacock was a taboo for Mauryas. Jats have no association with Mauriya/Muria/Maurya (cf. Romila Thapar's 'Asoka and the decline of the MAuryas'). But Itihaaskar should not delete others' views, Itihaaskar should add his own version. --Vinay Jha 15:12, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Citations needed in History of Rajasthan
The article mentions in ancient history section about kingdoms of Rajputs in 6th century. The term Rajput was invented about 7th century AD. It seems speculation. Thakur Deshraj is one of the prominent Historian. He has mentioned about Rajputs in his book on Jat history page 113-114, The Gazetteer of India Vol 2 (page 307-308), Which deals with the Rajputs writes as under:
- "Then between the 7th and 8th centuries the old racial divisions passed away and a new division came in founded upon status and function.... The rise of Rajputs determined the whole political history of time. They made their first appearance in 8-9th centuries; most of the greatest clans took possession of their seats between 800 and 850 AD. ..."
In view of these facts the ancient history of Rajasthan needs revision. If the contributirs feel they have facts they may provide in the article. So I have put citation tags. --burdak 04:46, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Why I moved the image of the so-called "Indian Bison"
It seems that Mr. Burdak has not read the article on bison from which I moved the image before he saw fit to (wrongly) criticise me again. The article on Bison very clearly says: "Bison is a taxonomic group containing six species of large even-toed ungulates within the subfamily Bovinae. Only two of these species still exist: the American Bison (B. bison) and the European Bison, or wisent (B. bonasus)."
In fact the article on Bison states very clearly: "The gaur, a large, thick-coated ox found in Asia, is also known as the Indian Bison, although it is in the genus Bos and thus not a true bison."
This means that, even though the Gaur is sometimes referred to as the "Indian Bison" - this is an incorrect naming (rather like the American Bison being called a Buffalo - which it is not). So, it should not be pictured on the bison page.
I will, therefore, move this image once again - to its proper place in the article on the Gaur (Bos gaurus). John Hill 04:11, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Karvir (clan)
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Karvir (clan), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Karvir (clan) seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Karvir (clan), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Image source problem with Image:Justice Mahavir singh.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Justice Mahavir singh.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:45, 1 February 2008 (UTC). Thanks for uploading Image:288baladitya-and-yashodharma.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion.
