Severus caption edit
I think the part about Snape 'protecting' the students is a bit much, esp. when we consider that his true nature isn't really revealed until the end. I am not saying he is a dick, but he does seem rather above being all protective of the students. That's what drove the revert. No offense as to your editing skills was intended. I appreciate you coming to me right away and asking me about it. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 20:03, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for the reply, no worries at all. Yes, as I made the edit, I was thinking about the same issue as yourself, but I couldn't find another 'suitable' word other than 'protecting'. Shielding might have been better looking back now, but as you said, that indicates a revelation we discover near the end. Happy editing! Lradrama 20:19, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Characters in The Belgariad
The reason I deleated that section was simply because those characters do not appear in the Belgariad, they appear in the squeul series the Mallereon. So I saw no point in them being there.Wild ste 13:01, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for showing your support for me in my recent RfA. Unfortunately, I was unable to earn the required consensus and did not succeed. I do hope to put in another request in a few months, once I have improved upon the concerns addressed by the rest of the participants. Your expressed trust in me will definitely help me reach that goal. Thank you again, and happy editing! Hersfold (t/a/c) 01:31, 5 September 2007 (UTC) |

Confused
I just received a comment from you out of the blue on how to edit pages and whatnot on Wikipedia when I've been doing so for a while. Did I suddenly do something wrong, or was this because the other night I was braindead tired when trying to write something on a discussion page and took three tries to sign my name at the end and be logged in at the same time? ;D Sleepsong 04:51, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hello there, yes, I see you have been editing Wikipedia for a while, but I also noticed you hadn't had your talkpage started. And the good old welcome message is a great way to start it! It gives great pointers that are really useful to everyone. Anybody who has contributed well to this website and is without any discussions, I provide them with a welcome template. I hope that's OK! Hello. Thanks for the message. Yes, the US schools do need doing too, but I'd run out of energy by the time I'd worked my way through the UK ones. Might be a couple missing there too - or did Webber Douglas merge with Central? I dunno, but they're categorised together now, so maybe. Don't know if you're active in the theatre project or not, but it'd be good to get your opinion on this if you have a spare moment - don't seem to be too many theatre people around at the moment. DionysosProteus 22:48, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- You're welcome. Yes it looks like an interesting discussion and I've posted a comment, although I'll probably post more as things progress! I've joined the Wikiproject fully actually - it's one of three I'm involved in, so my time is getting increasingly divided! BTW, as yet I'm unsure about the Douglas school. I know Central kind of merged with the University of London, which means students can have accomodation and such like from that university, but I'm as yet unsure about the Douglas bit. It'll need research. I haven't found anything in Central's prospectus on that, but I'll probably need to have another thorough read through! Happy editing! Lradrama 18:27, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Samulili RfA
Hey, Lradrama. Thanks for replying to my comment at Samulili's RfA. In retrospect, I wish that I had worded my comment less dramatically. At any rate, I wanted to post here to thank you for engaging in discussion! I am of the opinion that RfA too closely resembles a vote and also that such a system is not a good thing. Anyways, I enjoy discussion on RfA's whenever one arises, so thanks for discussing! --Iamunknown 05:36, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- You're very welcome! Yes, I hate it when people leave discussion points and don't participate, so I was happy to share my views. Don't worry about the wording, we all do it like that, and go on to endure the afterthought! Do you have any views on what RfA should be like? A sort of test maybe rather than a cummunity vote? Cheers, Lradrama 19:14, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Vandalism warning for User:69.177.178.105
Is a vandalism warning really justified here? The user removed their own question a few minutes after posting it, and moved it to a different Village pump page. The edit summary may have been incorrect, but a vandalism warning seems kind of bitey to me. --Onorem♠Dil 16:50, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
- On recent changes patrol, one often goes rather fast and mistakes are common unfortunately. From what I saw, this IP undid a revision by a Bot which signed an unsigned comment, and that is usually considered vandalism by some people. It appears you looked into the situation deeper than I did. :-) Lradrama 16:52, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
To Lradrama or anyone else you can help, I am the accused. Is it ok, that I post this here? This response is not an attempt at vandalizing your site. I'm sorry if I've done something wrong. I have no idea what I did wrong. I had a question that I was hoping to have answered. If I was unfairly accused then I expect an apology. If I have done something wrong then please clarify. Thank you.
- Hello and thankyou for not being abusive or anything and offering to discuss the matter politely. I respect you very much for that. You did nothing wrong. It was my mistake. I thought because you removed a comment from the Village Pump you were a vandal deleting posts. I thus reverted it. I should've looked into it more because it appears it was your own post that you movd to a better place, am I correct? Sorry about that. Lradrama 16:19, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
You know, I don't remember. I remember doing that somewhere, but am not sure if that was the place. Where was the original that you found deleted? 69.177.178.105 22:21, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

My recent RfA
I am sorry you felt it necessary to oppose my recent RfA, which did not succeed. I will attempt to get more experience in the main namespace and the Wikipedia namespace and will try again for RfA in two month's time. I hope I will have satisfied your concerns by then, but if not, please comment as you feel you should. You also voiced concerns about how my bot was so great but I didn't have that many edits. While this is true, if I had taken the time I put into my bot and put it into other areas of Wikipedia, I would have more edits which would put me up around that of other administrators passing RfA. My bot has over 40k edits, which, due to the nature of bots, could be considered mine. Thanks for participating in my RfA. -- Cobi(t|c|b|cn) 07:24, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

No worries
Don't worry - I don't think anyone is thinking badly of you! Part of the nature of Wikipedia is that people contribute as and when they can, and often go AWOL for a while. It's not a job, after all. Do let me know when you want help or advice - I tend not to be very organised, so I can need reminding! Cheers. 4u1e 17:24, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Censorship
I would appreciate it if you didn’t take it upon yourself to decide what Jimbo can’t be allowed to read. As you can see, Swatjester himself put my alert back in as well as his thoughful response). I had to resort to e-mail Jimbo a link to the discussion page history to ensure he gets the information. I’m curious now, did Jimbo ask you to do this service for him or did you just undertake that by yourself? Greg L (my talk) 18:57, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

- Greg, I think you're misreading something. Your comments weren't removed. Some random vandal's comments were removed (a regular practice on Jimbo's talk page). ⇒ SWATJester Denny Crane. 23:28, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Welcome!
Hi Lradrama,
I guess me making a small error (why I had to edit a page a 2nd time) triggered you to create my discussion page with the "Welcome!" message. Actually I'm having the account for some time and - while I know your intentions to place it there are good - it feels kind of weird to me to get this copy&paste message. Just wanted to inform you. --Mpeylo 20:36, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
- I was only being friendly when providing you with the welcome message, I wasn't patronising you in any fashion. Most users, including myself, get a nice welcoming message such as this when we first start out, and I make it common practice to distribute them to newer users, or those who haven't been talked to by anyone yet. That's all. It's just a nice welcome into the community, with some helpful tips on how to become a great 'Wikipedian'. :-) Lradrama 15:29, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
