- don't order other people to do things: instead of "read this" or "do this", try "see this" (indirect reference)
- don't blackmail: "do this or i will do this" -- instead, say a) we should do this; if that doesn't work, plan B is this
- don't say "if you ... " which necessarily implies that the other person failed to do something or did do something. example: "if you had read WP:CIVIL" ... "if you read the article, it is unclear in two places." This implies the person hasn't read the article. Instead, say, "The article is unclear in two places."
