[edit] Additions and improvements required!

This article is just a placeholder as of now. It needs to talk about the following

  • history of the school, how and when the institution was founded (maybe a book that talks about the history of the school is in the school library, and would serve as a reference)
  • facilities available to students - especially those that were offered to students when the school started-out - like the high quality science labs and equipments, fields for different sports, library, zero hour classes (extra curricular after-school interest groups), scouts and RSP wings, music and arts/crafts.
  • list of school principals (+ the duration they were in charge), and the changes they brought about (+ve as well as -ve)
  • traditional strengths of the school - both in academics and sports
  • liberal and secular environment
  • star teachers of the past (good old days)
  • prizes and honors awarded to the school and teachers. student achievements may go into the alumni section. prizes the students won when in school may be mentioned only if the prizes were spectacular - like the "First step to noble prize in Physics" - though I would recommend adding this to the school tally.
  • possible degradation of the school facilities over time.
  • possible degradation of the standard of education, both in academics and in sports.
  • controversies - can think of a few - language (enforcing that only English be spoken on campus), punishment (kids being subjected to excessive punishment - I remember this being in the news once), sports (cricket was banned when students broke window panes of the chapel, but the school also wanted kids to concentrate on sports other than cricket).

[edit] Article needs some serious work

The article actually borders on being an advertisement so it needs some decent editing. Also needed are verifiable citations and expansion. I added the tags in places where particular acute editing is required. Also guys, please keep it neutral. ScarianTalk 07:53, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Loyola pune.gif

Image:Loyola pune.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
