Dr. Loyal D. Rue is professor of religion and philosophy at Luther College of Decoarah, Iowa, and focuses on naturalistic theories of religion. His PhD was obtained at Hartford Seminary and MDiv at Luther Theological Seminary, and he has accepted two Templeton foundation fellowships. Books he has written include Religion Is Not About God: How Spiritual Traditions Nurture Our Biological Nature And What to Expect When They Fail, Everybody's Story: Wising Up to the Epic of Evolution, and By the Grace of Guile: The Role of Deception in Natural History and Human Affairs.
