just check it yourself. Here is the link: http://www.aims.org.af/afg/dist_profiles/unhcr_dist_profiles/central/kabul/ does it really work? -Ariana310 18:10, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
I think you are looking for this page: http://www.aims.org.af/ssroots.aspx?seckeyt=373 which I have already given it in that section. But if you kindly pay an attention on the UNHCR report, it is written "Population 1990: 21,239 settled" and on the top of the page it is marked 31/07/2002. The data in those reports are 17 years old (since 1990). The statistics from Central Statistics Office of Afghanistan are as of 2006. The CSA is the only official unit in Afghanistan for the census, while AIMS is a non-governmental organisation. -Ariana310 18:24, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- I paid alot of attention and I know exactly what the profile is saying. It was written in 2002 by UNHCR who went to every district to gather information about the district. The 1990 information is not to be used now because it is just saying how the district was in 1990s. The information on the profile sheet is 2002, you see current estimate in the yellow.--Lowgari 18:29, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

- Also, Afghanistan with the help of United Nations Population department, is about to start a nationwide census very soon. They will start a pilot program this summer and the main census will take place next year in 2008. It is not worth doing all this detail work now because the census will explain in details and it will be the only official figure.--Lowgari 18:35, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
That is really absurd and stupid to choose the unofficial and outdated statistics of 1990 instead of official 2006 statistics. Do whatever you want! -Ariana310 17:06, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
