[edit] For Deletion?

Well, it's a discredited part of CKD treatment, which isn't practiced anymore (to my knowledge) for kidney disease, at least. From a neph viewpoint, it has historical relevance only, and I would be surprised if anyone would want to write an article about it (esp given the huge amount of real neph stuff which have no articles). So I would vote for binning it. If someone feels strongly enough about it afterwards, they can always start a new article.FelixFelix talk 23:00, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Although it's not useful in CKD, I think we should keep this, because the idea is used (or misused) in other contexts. For example, more than a dozen years ago, my mother, who had moderate stage breast cancer, went on a very low protein diet as an "alternative" treatment for cachexia. (She died less than six months later, which will not surprise anyone who knows anything about the physiology of cancer wasting.) WhatamIdoing (talk) 22:29, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
