The Lowry Hotel is located in the city of Salford, in Greater Manchester, England. Although within the boundaries of the City of Salford, it is promoted as neighbouring "Manchester's" first five star hotel. When the hotel first opened Marco Pierre White was the overseeing chef and nearly four years later The River Room Restaurant continues to attract a vibrant and celebrity clientele with its beautiful views overlooking the contemporary piazza and tranquil River Irwell.
Named after the artist L. S. Lowry, the hotel also has an abundance of corporate facilities as well as a Spa & Fitness centre.
The hotel is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and is owned by The Rocco Forte Collection, the company of Sir Rocco Forte, son of the late hotel magnate Baron Charles Forte.
