[edit] History
Constructed in 1998, Lower Macungie Middle School was the third middle school built in the East Penn School District, after Emmaus Junior High School and Eyer Middle School. It was built to replace Emmaus Junior High School, which accommodate a growing influx of middle school and high school-aged students from New York City, northern New Jersey and Philadelphia in recent years.
