Lower Danube metropolitan area

The Cantemir metropolitan area will be formed from the cities of Galaţi and Brăila in Romania. Together they have a population of more than 600.000 people. An alternate name could be Lower Danube.[1]

Is a proposed project and would represent the second-largest metropolitan zone in Romania after Bucharest.
