Lowell General Hospital

Lowell General Hospital is an independent, not-for-profit hospital serving the Greater Lowell area in Massachusetts. Lowell General was organized and incorporated in 1891. The main campus is located in the Pawtucketville section of Lowell. It has 200 Beds, 38 bassinets, and a 21-bed Transitional Care Unit. It also offers a Cancer Center with support in collaboration with Dana-Farber/Partners CancerCare in Boston. In recent years they have added a Surgery Center at Drum Hill in neighboring Chelmsford. The Center handles mostly same-day surgery. There is also a Women's Imaging Center in Chelmsford.
