[edit] Summary
Low Bowl: Measuring 4-1/4" high and 5-1/4" in diameter. Gray ware of the 12th/13th century, transitional period between Koryo and Yi period. A functioal bowl but with a unique decoration in that straw was used in contrasting light tonality with pigment to create a contrasting design that has a brushed appearance 3/4 of the way up the bowl. The ground is gray-green and then the whitish glaze created with straw. There is a major repair around the base and minor chips at the neck and base.
