[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Sade band.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sade band.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

- Hello, I visited http://www.allmusic.com and found two albums with title Diamond Life, a lot of albums (by various artists) with title Promise, etc. To avoid any further available confusions I'd like to correct wiki-pages relating to Sade albums adding "Sade album" in the page titles: Diamond Life (Sade album), Promise (Sade album), etc. --loversrock 11:46, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sade
Greetings. Relating to your concerns about the Sade articles, we have to present information in the style of an encyclopaedia. That means neutral language and an objective tone of voice. As I may have mentioned, I pretty much agreee with what you wrote, but unfortunately that is our opinion, not the sort of thing that can stay in a Wikipedia article. It looks too much like advertising for most of our editors. If you want that kind of content in an article, you have to find quotes from notable music critics or other reporters and properly cite them in the article, then no one will be able to object. It may please you to know that it was brought to mind by your articles that I haven't heard any Sade in a while, so I went out yesterday and bought 3 of their CDs. - Hi, Thanks for your reply. Yes, I agree with you that some words can seems quite emotional. These articles are my first experiment on WIKI. But please don't cut out important parts of these articles. If you are able please correct some phrases or add some new info but PLEASE don't chop off the articles only. I think any article should have Intro (who or what), Content (with various facts and descriptions), Ending (conclusion). OK, in future I'll try to use the forms "He said", "She told" or simple quotes. Best, --loversrock 17:00, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Sade Adu 2000.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sade Adu 2000.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok ☠ 17:11, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Sade - Is It a Crime.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Sade - Is It a Crime.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Image:Sade_band.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sade_band.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria.
