It is supposed to be- Austin herself misspelled it. However, many modern day printings, including the one in the Norton Anthology of English Literature, correct the misspelling. Also, the very fact that this (unsigned) user was confused shows that this topic should be better addressed and explained in the article. Rudy Breteler (talk) 05:46, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
