Loverboy was the hit debut album released by the rock band Loverboy in 1980. The album was originally refused by the United States Columbia Records, but after its huge success when Columbia Records Canada produced it, they decided to sign a deal.

The album was a slow seller in the States at first, but eventually became a huge hit: it went Gold in May of 1981 and is currently at Double Platinum (2 million copies) in US sales.

Barbara Astman was commissioned to create the album cover, and was sent a copy along with lyrics. She created the cover by typing lyrics from the album onto a self portrait Polaroid as it developed.
