Lovejoy Township is located in Iroquois County, Illinois. The population was 462 at the 2000 census.Lovejoy Township formed from a portion of Milford Township on February 19, 1868.

Lovejoy Township covers an area of 34.58 square miles and contains one incorporated settlement, Wellington. According to the USGS, it contains two cemeteries: Amity and Floral Hill.
