Love in the Time of Cholera EP is an EP released by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira in 2007. It contains three songs featured on the film adaptation of Love in the Time of Cholera. Two of these songs, "La Despedida" and "Hay Amores", were written specifically for the film on request from the novel's author, Gabriel García Márquez. The other song, "Pienso En Ti", is from Pies Descalzos, the singer's breakthrough album.
Love in the Time of Cholera EP was released exclusively on iTunes along with a full soundtrack that included the score for the rest of the film.
The song "Despedida" was nominated for Best Original Song - Motion Picture at the Golden Globes 2008 [1].
The Love in the Time of Cholera Soundtrack CD will be released begin of February.
