"Love You Madly" is the third single from Cake's Comfort Eagle album. Originally, the song "Comfort Eagle" was slated to be released, but the events of September 11 caused the band to pull it due to events being described in the song paralleling the attacks; "Love You Madly" was released in its place. The song is unusual in its use of the Theremin as a primary instrument.

[edit] Video

The music video for this song was an Iron Chef parody, pitting Cake's then-drummer Pete McNeal against trumpeter Vince DiFiore, while the song played in the background. The video ended with celebrity guest judges Rick James and Phyllis Diller picking a winner.
