"Love Walks In" is a rock song written by the group Van Halen for their 1986 album 5150. It is one of five singles issued for the album. It is a ballad which is about aliens. Sammy Hagar (former lead singer) wrote the lyrics about an alien who came into his room and how he felt so warm and loved and safe around that alien. The song starts with Eddie Van Halen (lead guitar, keyboards) playing a slow syth and kicks into the song. The song starts in the key of C and for the verse moves into what sounds like Dm. It then jumps to another key, then goes back to C.
