Lovana Jones (March 28, 1938, in Mansfield, Ohio - May 8, 2006) served as an Illinois State Representative for nearly 20 years, and was known for speaking up for abused and neglected children.

Lovana Jones lived a beautiful life. The Illinois Congress was grateful to have her serve under its congress. Not only did she gain the respect of her fellow senators, but the people who lived around her. She incorporated love, home cookin', and her care for others in her work. Some of her known dishes were BBQ chicken with sweet potatoes, deep-fried shrimp, and her famous cornbread.
