Hi. A page you created, West London Penguin Swimming and Water Polo Club, has been deleted in accordance with our deletion policy.
Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy.
You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable notability guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content; it will be deleted again and may be protected from re-creation. Hi, thank you for your feedback regarding the deletion of this article. Your above claims may well constitute an assertion of notability; however, since you didn't include them in the original article, there was no way of knowing that. You are welcome to re-create the article, add this new information and provide sources for it. While I can't guarantee that the article won't be deleted for another reason, it is much more likely to be kept. Thanks – Gurch 09:24, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- Is the material for the West London Penguin Swimming Club page still held in storage somewhere so that it can be retrieved or must I start again from scratch?
