[edit] Conflict of Interest
I see you are editing an article on Wikipedia with the same name as your user ID. If you are the person in the article, then you are in violation of conflict of interest. If you are not Louann Brizendine, then Wikipedia:Naming conventions (identity) apply to your user ID. Please reply to this so that more confusion, or problems do not result from the article name, and your user name. Thank you. I would also advise that you refrain from editing the article of the same name as your User ID until this is settled. Thank you. - Jeeny Talk 20:35, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hello
Please respond if you are the person, or if you are closely related to the person in the article, in any way. I will try to balance this article, and do some research. I will also bring this to the attention of a third party to help with this, as I am not familiar with the subject, nor the person. But, I am about being fair, honest and agree to the guidelines of Wikipedia. - Jeeny Talk 20:54, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
thanks much, i appreciate it. There are many many magazine, newspaper and journal articles about me, so the bibliography could be long. Is the entire list of those articles appropriate to add instead of just that one that was listed as bibliography? I am not familiar with what is appropriate other than factual information in the biography text that remains,. The text in the bio is correct and verfifyable information now. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Louannbrizendine (talk • contribs)
Give it to me, you cannot add it yourself, as I said, it is against the COI (conflict of interests).I will contact a more knowledgeable person to help with this, to keep it fair and balanced. You can put any information you may think important to the article, on my talk page, I am a non-interested party, so it will not "break the rules" so to speak. I'm trying to help.I'm for fairness and proper balance in articles. Special circumstances do apply for living persons, as you have rights, of course. Again, I'm not too sure of what I'm doing policy wise (I'm pretty new to this venue), and will enlist help from those more familiar with Wikipedia Policy. - Jeeny Talk 21:24, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
PS: It may be a while, but don't worry. I have it on my watch list. I'm pretty busy right now, but if you are satisfied with the article as it is now (I know it's not perfect, and incomplete) but is it OK for now until I have more time to address this, and to contact another person to help with this? Aritcles change day to day, minute to minute. As ANYone is allowed to edit an article. :) - Jeeny Talk 21:32, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Some info on Wikipedia policies
Please forgive me, I'm not too savvy with the Wikipedia language and where all the policies are. This may help you understand what Wikipedia is about by clicking this link; Wikipedia:Five pillars. (Side note; is it OK if I add your image to the article?) - Jeeny Talk 21:44, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] IMPORTANT
It appears you are able to edit the article, according this; Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Especially see this part Dealing with articles about yourself. Hey, I'm becoming a fan, and agree with your hypothesis, at least from skimming the online material. I will leave as is for now, and let others more experienced take over. Thanks, and welcome aboard. :) - Jeeny Talk 21:52, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
