[edit] Thanks

Smee, thanks for the two info boxes and the improvement (was a bit tired), as it now looks impressive. It is so nice upon coming back to receive some much needed help. Thanks/PEACETalkAbout 15:51, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

  • No worries. Smee 02:15, 18 May 2007 (UTC).

[edit] City council removed fm succession box?

{{succession box | before= [[Leo Ryan]] | title= Member, <br /> [[Daly City, California|Daly City Council]] | years= 1970 – 1972 | after= Unknown }}

Why was the City Council box removed from the succession box at the bottom of the article? Smee 07:05, 21 May 2007 (UTC).

I wondered about that too since I didn't see the box, just the top one. Can we put it back?TalkAbout 14:30, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
I say we put it back as it helps for historical reasons since Leo Ryan also served on the council. I vote to put it back in.TalkAbout 14:33, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
  • Sounds good. Smee 03:22, 22 May 2007 (UTC).
  • Wait, Leo Ryan was not on the Daly City Council. He was on the South San Francisco City Council from 1956-1962 and the California State Assembly from 1962-1972, when he was elected to Congress. See Leo Ryan and his Biography at the Biographical Directory of the United States Congress. OCNative 00:22, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
  • That does not mean we have to remove the whole section of the box, just the entry Leo Ryan. The other missing entries can be filled in later by his predecessor and successor. Smee 05:43, 29 May 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Starting to look like a nice artice...

... if the article could be expanded a bit more, with about 10-15 more citations, and spruced up so that all the citations fit Wikipedia:Citation templates, it might soon be ready for a GA nomination... Smee 05:45, 29 May 2007 (UTC).

Ok, Smee I will start looking through my photos as I think I have some with him at the podium and will look for other citations. He authored a bill that placed Unis at Community colleges. I will take a good look..thanks for the guidance. Yes, it does look good.TalkAbout 15:51, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
