Louisville Buckeyes
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Louisville Buckeyes were a professional baseball team based in Louisville, Kentucky which played in the Negro Leagues. In 1949 the Negro American League team moved from Cleveland, Ohio, where they had been known as the Cleveland Buckeyes, and changed their name. The move was not enough to improve the team's fortunes and it disbanded at the end of the season.
