[edit] History
Samuel Speed started ResTV in 2000 and quickly became known as TechTV by overwhelming popularity. The channel has grown considerably and now features hollywood films as sanctioned by ResCinema distribution company for universities nationwide. However, the university's channel shares the TechTV name with a major national channel dedicated to technology, though TechTV was purchaed by G4 and no longer exists. Some fans of techTV (US) are not happy that the TechTV name is being used, hoping that the late TechTV image and name can finally be put to rest.
[edit] Services
TechTV covers many school events such as speeches, concerts and student organizations at the request of the event coordinator. Any student organization wishing to have an event covered need only to call the Housing office and ask for TechTV. Each event is handled differently and prices, number of cameras, and length of coverage are all based on information received from the event coordinator and are only limited to one's imagination.
