[edit] Route description
From the south, LA 943 begins at junction with LA 308 just west of Donaldsonvile. It heads westward and immediately crosses Bayou Lafourche and LA 1. It turns southward for less than a tenth of a mile, multiplexing with LA 1 before departing in a westward direction again. After about three miles, the road turns northward.
