Louise Harrison

Louise Harrison (born Louise Anna Imogen Harrison on 26 November 1962, is a British actress. She is best known for her role as PC Donna Harris in the long running ITV drama The Bill, although she also had a part in Coronation Street, where she played the character Dawn Prescott.

She was born in Cheshire and first developed an interest in acting while at boarding school. After attending the Welsh College of Music and Drama, and training in Film Production at the National Film School, she secured her first acting part in 1987.

Her first role was in the series "A Very Peculiar Practice", where she played Suzanne. She then went on to have a part in "Gentlemen and Players" and appeared in the BBC series "The River". In 1989 she briefly joined "Coronation Street" as alarm shop assistant Dawn Prescott, but was brought back later in the year as an estate agent and became Mike Baldwin's girlfriend.

After leaving "Coronation Street", she appeared in The Odd Couple at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester, before landing a part in the BBC comedy series "The Sharp End" in 1991. She joined The Bill as Donna Harris in 1991.

Since leaving The Bill, which she was in for nearly five years, she has appeared in other TV series including 'Slap', 'Sunnyside Farm', 'Doctors' and recently 'Heartbeat'. She has appeared in several short films made for TV, and a feature called 'Full Circle' as well as several theatre roles and commercials. Louise took some time out at one point to attend the National Film School to do a Producers Course, and also spent time working in casting. She recently returned to acting. She has produced and collaborated on several short films, a couple of which were released and shown on TV and as a pre-feature short at selected cinemas. She is married and lives in S.W.London.
