Louisa Burton is an American novelist, the author of the mainstream erotic novel House of Dark Delights., as well as over 20 romance and mystery books, under the pen names Patricia Ryan and P.B. Ryan.

Louisa was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where her father was an attorney for White Sands Proving Grounds. She started at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where she studied art and creative writing, and graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute with a BFA in painting."[1] Louisa now lives in western New York state, and is married with two daughters.
