Louis Mouchet is an independent filmmaker born in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1957.
1976: University of Geneva (Literature) 1981-83: London International Film School Louis Mouchet has directed in 1994 a very original documentary on Alejandro Jodorowsky called The Jodorowsky Constellation, in which appears also Marcel Marceau, the comics artist Jean Giraud aka Moebius and various artists who where influenced by him. The documentary starts in a very classical way, Mouchet interviewing the Chilean poet, writer, tarot-specialist and therapist Alejandro Jodowsky. But soon he focuses on the psychology and family genealogy of Mouchet himself (he personally had a Georgian grandfather whose family never could figure out if he was coming from United-States or the Soviet Union) and the author of the documentary ends by being its “patient”. Jodorowsky prescribe a psychomagic act that Mouchet carries out at the end of his film. A remarkable twist to the so-called journalistic objectivity!
Louis Mouchet has also directed the following films : Blues Road Movie (2001), The Secret (2000), Adolphe Appia – Visionary of Invisible (1988), François Simon the Presence (with Ana Simon, 1986)
