Louis Visentin

Louis Peter Visentin, Ph.D is the President and Vice-Chancellor of Brandon University. Dr. Visentin has held this position since 2000. Prior become installed as President at Brandon University, he served as Vice President (Academic) with the University of New Brunswick. He is a member of the National Research Council Governing Council and the Premier of Manitoba's Economic Advisory Council Image Strategy Development Task Group. Dr. Visentin was awarded the Queen's Jubilee Medal for service to Canada in 2002 and the Order of St. John of Jerusalem in 2003.
Dr. Visentin received his doctorate from the University of Michigan in 1969. Dr. Visentin announced his plans to set down as President in the summer of 2009.
