Louis Ricco

Louis Ricco (b. February 13, 1929) aka. "Louie Bracciole" is a longtime member of the Gambino crime family, holding the rank of Caporegime with illegal activities in the Bronx, New York, New Jersey and Brooklyn, New York.

Louis Ricco was recognized as a Caporegime with a crew based in the Bronx, New York since the early 1980s, under the leadership of Paul "Big Paul" Castellano. In 1999, Ricco pled guilty to racketeering charges alongside then acting boss John "Junior" Gotti, where he was sentenced to 43 months in the Federal Correctional Facility in Otisville. The charges stemmed from his long time profession in illegal gambling and loansharking. He was released in early 2001.

On October 17, 2001, Ricco was indicted in New Jersey and charged with third degree Conspiracy and third degree Promoting Gambling, where he pled guilty to third degree Promoting Gambling and was sentenced to three years in State prison to run concurrently with his Federal sentence. On December 17, 2003, Ricco, a resident of Lodi, New Jersey, was excluded from the state of New Jersey, as he was recognized a Caporegime of the Gambino crime family, and banned from every casino in Atlantic City for his illegal gambling charges.^[1]

As of 2007, Louis Ricco, at age 78, is currently residing in the Bronx, New York, where his illegal activities are illegal gambling, loansharking, extortion and racketeering. Apparently a top protege of John "Jackie Nose" D'Amico, and longtime cooperator of Salvatore "Tore" LoCascio, who is believed to control the other half of the Bronx.
