Louis Nelson

Louis 'Big-Eye' Nelson (born September 17, 1902 in New Orleans, Louisiana; died April 5, 1990 in New Orleans, Louisiana) was a trombonist most associated to Dixieland music.

He began in the 1920s with various local bands and by 1944 he was working with Kid Thomas Valentine. Later he would be associated with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and be part of a revival in "New Orleans" music.[1]
