Louis Neefs

Louis Neefs (8 August 1937 - 25 December 1980) was a Belgian singer, born in Gierle.
As well as having a number of hit records in Dutch and a career as a radio and television presenter in Belgium and the Netherlands, he participated twice for his country in the Eurovision Song Contest. In 1967 in Vienna, he finished 7th of 17 entries with the song '"Ik Heb Zorgen", and he again finished 7th (equal) in 1969 in Madrid with the song "Jennifer Jennings".
Louis Neefs was killed, along with his wife Liliane, in a road accident in Lier, Belgium, in the early hours of Christmas Day 1980.
