Louis II de Bourbon-Vendôme

Louis of Bourbon-Vendôme (Louis II, Duke of Vendôme) (1612-1669), was the second duke of Vendôme, and the grandson of Henry IV of France and Gabrielle d'Estrée.
His father was César of Bourbon-Vendôme, Duke of Vendôme.
He married in 1651 Laura Mancini, niece of cardinal Mazarin. His children:
- Louis Joseph (1654-1712), duc de Vendôme and Marshal of France.
- Philippe (1655-1727), called le prieur de Vendôme
- Jules César (1657-1660)
First he had a military career and became governor of the Provence in 1640.
But after the death of his wife in 1657, he entered the church and became cardinal and legate of France.
