Louis-Jeantet Prize for Medicine
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Louis-Jeantet Prize for Medicine is awarded annually (starting in 1986) by the Louis-Jeantet Foundation to biomedical researchers in Europe; the awards are made each April.[1] The aim of the prize is both to honor its recipients and to finance their research.
The particular research domains in which prizes have been awarded are immunology, cellular and molecular biology, and developmental biology; prize-winners have worked in virology, neurobiology, genetics, clinical epidemiology and structural biochemistry.
The total sum awarded depends on the performance of the Foundation's investments; in 2002 it was 1.2 million Euros.
