[edit] College Career

As a freshman, McCroskey missed the first three games of the season because of academic issues. Still, he appeared in the remaining 28 games and scored 10 points in Syracuse's Sweet 16 loss to Alabama in the NCAA Tournament.[1]

McCroskey was used as both a starter and a reserve in his sophomore year. McCroskey's best performance came against Pittsburgh, when the guard scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds.[2] He set a career high in scoring average that year, with 5.6 points a game.

In his junior year, McCroskey started five games, but following a much publicized shouting match with SU Coach Jim Boeheim, McCroskey briefly left the team.[3] He returned for the remainder of the season, but chose to leave Syracuse for Marist College following the conclusion of his junior year.

Per NCAA regulations, McCroskey sat out the 2006-07 season to fulfill the NCAA's mandatory year in residency after transferring.

In his red-shirt senior season, McCroskey was named to the Preseason Second Team All-MAAC.[4] McCroskey played in the team's first 15 games and is leading the team in scoring (12.8) and is second in rebounding (5.6). However, he missed the a little over a month after he fractured his foot on Jan. 17, 2008. He made his return on Feb. 29, 2008 and scored 18 points off the bench to lead Marist to a 67-60 victory over Iona.[5]
