Lou Martin is a piano and organ player who is most famous for his work with the London-based band Killing Floor and Irish musician Rory Gallagher.
His playing strongly influenced the music of Killing Floor from 1968 when he joined the band. Martin later left Killing Floor to play with the solo artist Rory Gallagher and featured on many of Gallagher's albums, including Blueprint, Tatoo, Against the Grain, Calling Card, and Fresh Evidence. He played a key role in the overall sound of the band.
Killing Floor released a new album in 2004 named Zero Tolerance. Martin plays with the band on this album once again.
His strongest influences include Memphis Slim, Fats Domino and Jerry Lee Lewis.
