Louis George Karras (born September 19, 1927 in Gary, Indiana) is a former American football offensive tackle in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins, until an eye injury prematurely ended his career. He played college football at Purdue University. He has two younger brothers, former pro football player Theodore Karras and former pro-football player/actor Alex Karras. After his professional football career ended, he founded a successful tire business. He currently resides in Clearwater Beach, Florida.
